Training courses

There are a number of training courses available. Some are free but others include a fee.

The Plain English campaign offers online courses on using plain English and writing for websites.

The User-Centred Design Community runs events and training for content designers and user researchers. Most are free and open to local government employees.

You can also find content design Bootcamps on Eventbrite throughout the year. Most of the time they include a fee. Visit Eventbrite to see when the next training course is.

The Government Digital Service (GDS) runs a free Introduction to Content Design course.
